Cawville 2005

February, 2005

“Cawville” is a place of evolution and extinction, where culture begins, ends, and begins again. Set high in the hills of a village, it could be anywhere, anytime. This is a place where humans become birds and birds become humans. These creatures sing and dance into the sky and down to the earth. Folklore speaks of black birds as humans, and from here our story begins…

In this Sonic Dance Theater piece, performers will sing, dance, play music, and tell stories. With sophisticated choreography and high velocity partnering, the stage will take flight in “Cawville.”
