15th Annual San Francisco Trolley Dances 2017

Event Summary

Thank you for celebrating 14 years of San Francisco Trolley Dances with us!

We traveled through SoMa and Sunset to witness seven stellar site-specific performances. In tandem with Chaksam-Pa’s performance, Tibetan monks from the Sera monastery in India completed a sand painting of the mandala of Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion, in the window of the Desai Matta Gallery at CIIS. Work on the sand painting took place over the week before Trolley Dances and the public viewed the painting during gallery hours and throughout the weekend of Trolley Dances.
