Presented by Brava! For Women in the Arts & Epiphany Productions – Our Free Cinco De Mayo 2013 Performances were an overwhelming success!

Local neighborhood residents and visitors from across the country arrived by the hundreds to take guided walking tours of the landmark Mission District mural paintings on the lower 24th Street corridor. Starting at Brava Theater Center, located at 2781 24th Street, San Francisco, audiences experienced each mural site alongside live dance performances – from traditional to modern dance – featuring Cuicacalli Dance Company, Epiphany Productions, and Loco Bloco.

Muralist Juana Alicia was also in attendance and graced us with her presence during the performance of original choreography by Kim Epifano, inspired by her “La Llorona’s Sacred Waters.”

We thank you for coming out and taking part in this joyful celebration!  The first of what we hope will become an annual event.
